Don't worry if you get skunked.  It happens to all anglers.

#1 If it's working, it's right.

 

#2 If it's not working, it's not right for your situation

In the past couple months I've had several people notice that I turned my lights off while backing down the ramp.   They all said they'd never thought of it, and started turning theirs off.   

 

My #1 rule for fishing.  If it isn't fun you're not doing it right.   

 

My suggestion is my signature.  

Fish slowly, and stick with it. 

Focus on having fun and wear my PFD. 

If you see an old man fishing all alone, do not assume he is lonely and wants someone to come talk to him.

Hooksets are free

Bass live in the thick stuff.  If you are scared of loosing lures, go troll for trout.
