No surprise here starting day 2. Wheeler is on the heels of Lucas with close to 150lbs.  These guys simply no how to catch em regardless of what body of water they are on. This may be a record setting day!

Wheeler is done...trolling motor batteries are dead. He is now graphing the rest of the 40 minutes remaining. Hope he can continue the momentum here for the knockout, and championship rounds.

Not sure if he has lithiums or not. He did say though, that he has been on the TM all day, and the wind has been getting it all day. 

I haven't been able to find anything on Wheeler's battery setup for 2022.   He has a video where goes over everything on his 2021 boat and he was using Millertech lithium batteries.

Being ranked #1 in the world I am assume he has them. Hopefully he can get that squared away tomorrow on his off day.

lol I think the last tournament in the MLF is in September.  But this tournament seems forever long though with all the drop shotting. However DC is getting it!

Dakota Ebare’s trolling motor died at the very end of the competition today.  What’s the deal with trolling motors in this event?  I assume they’re all running LiFePO4 batteries.   I’m starting to wonder if that’s a good idea.

DC's TM batteries were dead with 40 minutes remaining yesterday as well. I think it is the wind, and the guys chasing the smallmouth schools all day. 

My buddy that fishes Great Lakes and Canada says he catches way more fish with anchor and rope than when he uses spot lock . Fish can hear and feel R2D2 on the front of your boat

 

also, an anchor on a rope won’t kill your batteries 

 

granted, you ain’t pushing expensive product when you use an actual anchor 

Yea, I think it has a lot to do with chasing as well. I know these guys are following schools once they see them on FFS. But yea spotlock all day in the current / wind will also help drain em quick.  

This is crazy....Wheeler to DC, to Wheeler to DC. Like literally every cast they all have 3lb bass.  This is going to get good!

Congratulations to Dustin Connell ~ Big Win today.

Had to lay the smack down on some real hammers to do it. 

His second this season - I think he's the only angler in that class so far.

Love it or Hate it, seems FFS was once again a Huge Player.

Big win for Connell and a big win for smallmouth bass.   Most of the fish caught were largemouth.  He won it with smallies.

DC has 3 MLF victories. All using livescope. There’s no doubt that Wheeler and him are ahead of everyone else in that technology.
