I'm going to order 2-3 buzzbaits, I've used them maybe once or twice, and then gave them up.  I figured I'd go with a black one, and white/chart one, and maybe one other color, what colors would you guys recommend for buzzbaits.

Also, what brands? So many companies are making them, not sure what to pick?

I have a bunch of different colors and sizes from 1/8 oz to 1/2 oz.  The best one I have used in the last couple of years is the double bladed Terminator.  I bought the white with white blades.  In 30 min. there was no paint on the blades so after that I just bought white with silver blades.

White.

Black, white and white and chartruse will serve you well depending on the water clarity, time of day and cloud cover.

I like the dual props on the standard clothes pin head.

Or the props with the holes in them.

Or the props with the small triangle "clacker."

Buzzbiats are lots of fun and they can catch fish all day long.

After you get familiar with the three you have you will have to consider downsizing for ponds and rivers and also adding the in-line buzzbaits to your collection.

Remember to add a trailer hook the size of or one size smaller than your buzzbait hook.

You can never have enough buzzbaits.

FishTank, do those counter-rotating baits run any truer than conventional buzzbaits, which in my case, always seem to run well to the side?

They will begin to roll if you are really, really burning them.  As far as running right/left, I havent had any issues w/ the baits right out of the box. The only adjustments I had to make were after getting the bait hung on something or dragging fish w/ weeds to the boat.

They have a more subtle gurgle than most buzzbaits, lots of squeak in the blades. If you use a bouyant trailer, you can run them slower than just about any I have used.

Brokejew, you cant go wrong with the regular Booyah buzzers w/ clacker blade. The Terminator Skeet's Double Buzz is a good choice as well especially due to the titanium wire.

Those Cavitrons are looking better every day though.....

I like the terminator and the Booyah.  Cheaper brands don't have as full a skirt and the wire bends easily.

I like the Booyahs with the clacker as well.  Makes a lot of racket.  Black for night, white and chartreuse

and you're good to go.  Buzz baits are a blast at night. You can barely see 'em but you can sure hear 'em, then all of a sudden -- SLURP/SPLASH.

The original Lunker Lure, can't beat them. I take mine and hang it out the truck window for for awhile to get it broke in good. Use white and some times black.

I have had lots of buzz baits run right to lef for me as well

The best thing you can do is just keep buyng diffent brands untill you find that one that runs true.

Also, i have had real good luck on the double bladed buzz baits. I can work them a lot slower than a single blade, and i think thats why i catch more fish on them.

i love the cavitron white with chartruse and red hook with brass blade in 3/8 its a fantastic buzz to work slow so it stays in the strike zone loner
