So it's the St Croix Legend Tournament Bass POWER GLASS CRANKER / LBTC74MHM (iACT) – 7’4”, medium-heavy power, moderate action.

Such a unique blank.

Unlike anything I've ever fished before.

Is it the new Holy Grail of Crank Bait Rods ?

Maybe . . . . .

I'm a fiberglass and composite fan also. I don't have the Lamiglas SR705 but I do have a custom built on the blank used in the SR765, the 7'6" version. I can't quite picture how this new rod fits in between glass and graphite, so I guess I'm going to have to get my hands on one to find out. Thanks for the review.

I have that stick as well.

Both are the real deal IMO.

Thank you for the thorough review!  I called St.Croix to inquire about the differences between cranking rods in the new Legend Tournament Bass. The rep on the phone was a very nice lady but didn't seem to know much about the rods, she kept putting me on hold to find out the differences, eventually the rep on the phone told me the 7'10 big cranker and the 7'10 mag cranker have no glass , they are graphite rods, I am interested to see how they compare to the power glass cranker.

I have the same and the more I use it, the more I am starting to believe it could be, as A-Jay says, the holy grail of crankbait rods.  I have high praise for the Legend Glass but this rod is better in just about every way. I have also used it for topwater and chatterbaits too and it was great.  St. Croix did a great job with this one.
