Naked prey . Amazing african  photography. Lots of action, but little dialog. Think of mountain man Jim Bridgers escape except happens in Africa.

The guy getting roasted alive inside of pottery was a nice touch lol.

Too many to mention. I watch old stuff a lot because the new stuff doesn't interest me, and I've seen everything else!

Random

"The Monolith Monsters"

Ridiculous plot, science fiction. I love how serious these guys took their roles in the science fiction movies!

"The rocks seem to grow hundreds of feet tall when wet, to the point that they fall over, breaking into pieces. Then those pieces grow. And they are falling and crashing their way towards town! There has GOT to be a SOLUTION!"

"And there's a storm coming!"

Cool movie, definitely an original plot.

Speaking of Hedy Lamarr, not only was she beautiful and an outstanding actress, she was highly intelligent. She designed a frequency-hopping system to prevent a radio-guided torpedo from being jammed.

Which is the basis for GPS, Bluetooth and early modes of Wi-Fi....so thank Hedy every time you don't get lost or when ever you hook your device to the Net via Wi-Fi.

I’ll probably get slaughtered for this, maybe it’s my age (39) but I can’t watch old movies. It seems like the acting was horrible back then, maybe it’s over acting, maybe it’s the production, editing, I don’t know. For me, mid 80’s is as old as I’ll go and that’s pushing it.

Alright everyone, I admitted it, let me have it! ?

totally get it.  you like a higher production value.  understandable

I like old films.  they dont have high production value.  no WOW factor.  they rely totally on a good story line.

I have taken to watching Scandinavian detective stories.  they also rely on a great storyline.  I love them.

Other than my brother, you are the ONLY person I’ve ever heard say they’ve seen the Monolith Monsters. I loved that movie when I was young. Very original plot.

50s sci-fi movies are one of my favorites. Them!, The Angry Red Planet, Crack In The World, When Worlds Collide, Forbidden Planet and a host of others.

when i was a kid the Blob was scary.

There were a number from that era that were scary.

Loved Harryhausen films though...pure fun adventure.

I don't know anyone else who has heard of it. I saw it on Amazon Prime. I think I looked up old sci-fi movies and it was suggested. I can't remember the names of most.

I think it's cool seeing how they, for instance, imagined how a spaceship could land on the moon without it happening in real life yet, exiting the ship, re-launching to get home. How the suits might work. Some of it is hilarious nowadays while some of it was pretty spot-on.

The original Invasion Of The Body Snatchers was really good, probably already mentioned.

OP: Check out the original radio broadcast of War of The World's if you've never heard it.

That’s a good flick. So is the original The Thing From Another World (although John Carpenter’s The Thing (1982) is still absolutely fantastic.

The Thin Man series, and the Bob Hope / Bing Crosby Road Movies have always been some of my favorites.
