What makes the 844c mbr great for topwater?

The 844C is a great "all around" rod, but it really shines with jigs and weighted soft plastics.

Funny you brought that up.  I was just walking through my garage and stopped and looked at the rods.  Was thinking about the 844c nrx and wonder if it would be a good swim jig rod.  What do yall think?  Definitely will use it for topwater...looking forward to trying a few different topwater presentations with it.  What do you think about the 844 as a swim jig rod?  Should have good sensitivity and power...just not sure if it will be able to accurately present a lighter swim jig like 3/8.

I have a 904c CNQ and it is by far my favorite swim jig rod.  1/2oz is prime but going down or up in weight has been no problem.  I'd bet that it does the job well.

Awesome! thanks

Sometimes if your throwing a heavier walking topwater and you want to really chuck it far the 844 will load up correctly vs other lighter power rods plus it has the tip to work them with little effort and the backbone to pull fish through the cover that sometimes you work your topwater over.

Yep, they don't seem beholden to any brand, they just seem to pump TW up, which is more than fine if honest reccomendations in equiptment
