Looking for a shorter MH

It hasn’t been an issue or a concern for me. Is it ideal? Probably not, but for $130 I got no complaints.

Thanks! That's kinda what I was thinking. For $130 it's hard to pass up.

I have 2 Major Craft rods were the handle comes off and I have a Benkei love these rods, I have light and UL.  I've caught as many bass on them as I have panfish, they will  work well for a kayak rod. The  Shimano Zodias rod is made in 2 piece with the handle removable.  I bought all mine from Asian Portal.

I have the P5 Super Destroyer as well and it should work fine for most of what you are looking to throw.  I think a 3/8oz lure might be a struggle though.

I own rods with an inflated lure rating, but that is remarkable.  Megabass claims the SD will handle 1.25oz.

I throw the 6in Magdraft on it. It weighs 1.25oz and it does just fine.

It's a strange rod to me though. It's like someone put multiple rods and tapers into one rod. Definitely a fun rod to fish.

I'm a big fan of that PA 611M+ but I can't tell you if it's too long.  If the length does work for you, I can tell you that it'll do all those things pretty well, some even great.  Shouldn't the  Blade also be on your list?  The P5's seem designed for what you're looking for, just not sure which one.

Hey, yes the Blade is on my list. I seem to have forgotten to put it in the original post. I haven't heard much about that rod. A few posts here and there in forums, mostly not overly favorable. Ild love it if anyone has any thoughts on this rod. The power and length seem spot on to me.

It's hard to say. Maybe Texas rigged soft plastic or the Magdraft. Jigs are good but I like a longer rod for that technique. Big spinnerbaits aren't bad either.  I have also tried some bigger square bills and liked it for that as well.

Ok, that is great. Texas rigs would be y primary goal here. Being on a kayak, or on shore I'm hoping for a rod that can do just about anything to a degree but primarily will throw t-rigs first and foremost. I've been thinking about experimenting with a mag draft this year too, and dark sleepers as well.
