I was sent this as well by the blade maker. No idea how well it is going to work but it looks cool.

You need a flateye jig if you're using a split ring, or you can try to carefully open the eye with pliers or tapping it open with a thin chisel or flat screwdriver and put the new blade on. You risk breaking the eyelet doing it that way but if the bait is no good otherwise, nothing really lost if it breaks.

For baits I make for myself I punch out the hook eye.

The guy lives in Indonesia and uses Google translate for correspondence so I don't think you can call.
