Dream Line-up

Featured Replies

For fun, what would be your dream combos?

There are no limits in terms of price, quantity etc, what would be all the best rod/reel combos that would want (assuming no limitations) cover all of your bass fishing desires?  How many rod/reels do you need?  which ones??

Your list can be as long or as short as you want.  Can include spinning or casting, no rules.  Please just also tell us  why you want that combo.

If no limits to anything, I'd have rods custom made in my length, handle style and color of my choice. Reels would be Shimano Calcutta casting, and probably a Shimano spinning reel, of my choice.

I like Shimano reels, and have seen some really nice custom rods. Four is all I need. Two casting, two spinning.

I just picked up a new St Croix Legend Tournament and gotta say…it’s the nice Croix I’ve ever held. So at the moment, I’d love to have about 20 of them all with ‘22 Bantams attached.  That reel feels so good on every single rod I’ve put it on.  Def not ridiculously high priced gear but that’s my current dream lineup!

Rods- If there is no limit...... Megabass Arms Super Leggera, any and all. They are a true work of art. They are not exactly practical but they are overkill to the extreme.

Reels - A custom rebuilt Abu Garcia, a Megabass Monoblock, a Shimano Stella, and a the new Antares MD DC. Also, maybe a custom Steez from Japan. I am not sure who is still doing the custom paint and rebuilds but ZPI use to crank out some way over the top stuff.
