Do the colors run?      Should they be separated by color or not?

Mine have.  I'm a fan of keeping them in their clamshells.

The chartreuse and other colors sometimes don't play nice. I always keep all my keitech stuff in its original packaging

Yes they run a bit.  I tend to only grab a couple from the clamshell at a time and not worry too much about it. Most of my colors are similar so I don’t mind a little blending.
