How would y'all approach this?

Featured Replies

in spring i would probably fish the high spots with grass if its growing yet.in summer id probably watch my graph to see what depth most bait seems to be then graph the area at those depths. paying special attention to where those elongated points get close to those steeper drops.

Start at the circled + @18’ and meter the entire area to determine where to start fishing, 35’ and up it all looks good to me.

The spots already marked. I'd toss a buoy on that green spot and fish there,

you and i homed in on the same spot.

would you position shallow and fish a bait from deep to shallow, or go opposite?  i find lots of fish on the very edge right where the elevation changes.  i think i find more success creeping a bait up the hill.

I usually cast shallower and work downhill . Not saying that is better its just the way I always did it.

@scaleface  thanks bud.

no wrong answer.  i think since i am on a kayak, i like to go shallow and cast towards the deep.  i like sliding right next to shore and fishing this way.  appreciate the response.

Oftentimes the way the wind is blowing and how hard, and the sun angle determines this for me

Looks like a perfect spot for throwing a 25 ounce halibut jig. Gotta burn it though and let it fall
