collectively we are pro-level story tellers.

we can exaggerate the bait's success to the sky.  hahaha..there is no doubt: if I had to pick a favorite sub-forum, the FISHING TACKLE would be the one.  I see baits I never knew existed.  and learn how to rig them and throw them.

I am guilty of it as well.  how many times have you told someone something ludicrous like, "the bass can't resist this bait!"?  yes, until they dont.  last year I thought the skies turn to rainbows and a choir of angels would hum out a perfect note when it casted a drop shot.  the Green Pumpkin Z-Drop could do no wrongs.  this year, I am almost zero on this bait.  hahahaha..  thankfully, I own about 15 bags.  just in case it turns around.  what I am ZERO on is the 6" Zoom worm.  wow.  nothing.  again..15 bags. (thanks to whomever that said, "I think Zoom is going out of business")

bass can't resist this bait.  bass kill it.  bass candy bass crack.  hahaha..  I'm thinking I should melt them down into BEAVERS. :D  just kidding.  some bait store guy just try to sell me a "for sure thing" crank bait.

I to this day find it incredibly strange how I tend to have a "year of the ....".  Some years it's been this...some that.  The one thing that always seems to put them in the boat for me though is a wacky stick bait.

Every time I've bought large quantities of a bait it quits working for me, so I don't do it anymore.

One bag at a time.

I can honestly say that in the 20 years I have been going to St Clair there have been consistent baits that catch every year but there have been specific baits that excel on certain years.  One year it’s the weightless Senko, one year it was the dropshot, one year it was the Ned, one year it was a weightless DShad, one year it was a spinnerbait, one year it was a SPRO Little John, one year it was a Staycee jerkbait, one year a tube.  The standard baits will always catch fish but there’s always a bait that stands out.  We are going the same time of year, fishing the same areas.  All that means is when I am packing for this trip, I need helper springs on my truck.  ?

I just share pictures & video.

If holding the bass 2.4 inches from the camera lens is exaggerating,

then I am no doubt a straight up crimial.

Those are the hands of a working man. What are you doing to maintain callouses like that on both hands?

I do the same!! this is supposed to be the year of the jig for me and so far it sucks.. spend good amount of money on different jigs and I think I got more jig fish on a single trip last year than this hole combined.

Little known fact, the J in A-Jay's name stands for JACKED.

You don't catch bass on a Zoom 6" worm?????????    I have to keep mine covered up until I'm ready to cast.  Bass will jump into my boat if they see one dangling.

Speaking of big hands.  I've been tryin to edit photos to make my hands look smaller and the fish look bigger.  So far it isn't working.   LOL
