does anyone compete (Successfully) in a bass tournament in a small boat?

The "Strolling" that they are referring to is when you cast out your lure and then disengage your spool, move the boat  away, sometimes up to 100  yds away with the trolling motor and then reengage the spool and crank it in.

Yeah I’ve been seeing a bunch of guys do that with jighead minnow watching FFS . Josh jones does it with swim jig but he’s not in a tournaments.

Dee Thomas fished out of a 15’ aluminum boat on the Delta Nd local California lake for several years. Dee burrowed a boat to fish a few B.A.S.S. events in the 70’s.

Hall of Fame bass angler so yes it can be done. Winning is up to the anglers skill not the size of the boat.

I fish local and state level tournaments from a 17ft with a 50HP. With a big field or big lake I just pick my starting locations strategically and don't race anyone to get to a starting spot.  I fished a two day tournament on Chickamauga out of Dayton and made a run from Dayton to Chester Frost. I have never outright won a tournament, but I rarely ever finish at the bottom either.

Seth Feider's rig for the 2024 Elite series.  22 inch screen up front lol

I didn't realize they were making screens that large.  My first TV was only a 19".

Me neither.  NBT Marine makes both a 21 and 16 inch screen that plugs and plays with Garmin.  Its not even a standalone platform.

The 21 incher is $4 grand. 😵
