The Alphas is indeed a Japanese Sol, but weighs a full ounce less.  If I remember correctly the Type F is 6.2ozs, and the regular purple Alphas are 6.4ozs.  Who said this isn't a disease

Comparable to the domestic Sol in characteristics.

And if you shop around, cheaper than the Sol ( $185 vs $230 )

I wanna know too!!!   These seem to be a popular item on this board...I have finally broken down....I gotta have one.    I recall a BassResource.com member saying they found them for $185 and free shipping....if any has this website, let us know.
