Super User Mobasser Posted March 12 Super User Share Posted March 12 I'll probably never understand the no hook thing. But, good luck cyclops2

greentrout
Panther Martin offers barbless hooks on some spinners. Panther Martin, Mepps and Rooster Tail offer a single hook on some of their spinners, also. I sometimes use both for my Bass fishing -- get a different Karma. Good Fishing
Super User islandbass Posted March 18 Super User Share Posted March 18 @cyclops2: Did you mean barbless hooks or no live bait perhaps? No hooks seems a little extreme. That would leave just a net. Doesn’t sound right. 😥
Super User Bird Posted March 18 Super User Share Posted March 18 @cyclops2 Curious to know what your looking to accomplish by fishing with hookless baits. I know blue crabs will hang on to bait until they can be netted at the surface.
Super User MIbassyaker Posted March 18 Super User Share Posted March 18 You can remove the hooks from a crankbait, like a rapala minnow, and use it as a casting weight above a fly in order to fly-fish with a spinning rod. This makes it legally possible in some places to fish a "flies-only" section of a trout stream without a fly rod.
cyclops2
Thanks for the concern about my mental state. Been very erratic with a new Prostrate Cancer drug. See if I can give Glenn so time off. 😀
