Big bite craw tubes

Featured Replies

Who uses them ? What are your thoughts? Do you flip them ? I’ve heard of inserting a used senko into the bottom and cutting it off to make a fat ikea like bait that has extra action. I’ve grabbed a bunch during the buy 2 get 1 at Omnia and plan on flipping them extensively in the Canadian milfoil.

any other modifications ?

A very good bait. I have never tried the Senko trick but I do insert a cotton ball soaked with Bait Fuel.

Do you find this makes a difference ?

I’ve used them for pitching into milfoil. Seem to come through pretty well and I’ve done decent. Saw Seth Feider use them several times so I gave them a try.

I’ve used them a good bit. I flip them using an owner jungle or hayabusa hook, and generally unpegged or loosely pegged. I usually use a 1/8-3/16 weight, though I don’t really flip tubes in real nasty stuff

These have been around for ages under different brands using the same mold.  I picked up a pack of them branded as BPS baits on clearance recently and like them as a punching bait.  I have problems keeping the hook point from poking through other punching baits and catching moss on the hook point.  With these I just insert the hook into the cavity and problem solved.

I'm watching this with interest.  I picked up a pack last winter and fished them a bit here and there.  I've found beavers to be better for me personally, though i imagine I should try them again when beavers are slow.  They rig up well and with a tiny 1/8 oz tungsten bullet weight they will come through milfoil and other grass really well.  They skip great!

Absolutely. The bites are agressive & they hold on to it.

In the Ozarks it's Baby Poop in springtime.
