Oh man! Can you imagine one of these babies strapped on the back of your boat?

Yes. But I may have to move my 3 batteries and the gas tank to the front to keep my 1448 jon from sinking. She'd be blistering fast for a couple minutes with my 6 gallon tank.😆

I ran 327hp on the back of a 1989 Stratos 285 Pro (it ran near 90mph) for a little over a year and then ran it on a 1999 Javelin Renegade 20 DC (ran 82mph with two people and gear) for almost 10 years.  It's nice to have it when you want it, but you don't go running around at WOT a whole lot, not it you like living long enough to enjoy like a little.  The great part about all that hp was being able to cruise at 45 to 50 mph, at 4500 rpm and get 5mpg.

I have no idea where I could find a mechanic who knows how to work on one.  The techs around here are Merc factory trained, besides I run a 250 already.

Meh.

I have a neighbor that  has a 21’ Stroker with a 450 Merc on the back.
No I will not ride in it. Says he get 110 mph.😳

I took Glenn's advice and mounted a 300 hp Suzuki on my canoe. The bad news is that I died. The good news is that there are 30-pound bass in Heaven and those are just the rock bass!
