Can anyone identify this crankbait?

It was probably purchased from BPS

in the 80’s.

Looks like a Berkely crankbait that Ike used to throw that’s been discontinued

The paint job looks Bagleys but those eyes.

 

I went down to my boat shed and located the Berkely bait and it’s not it.

The eyes and body were almost the same but didn’t have the coffin bill

The tail eye hook hanger is sideways and the coffin bill should help ID this lure,

I don’t know!

There used to be a lure manufacturer called Tennessee Pro Lure Co. They made many models and that looks similar to the model Tennessee Kill'er. They sometimes show up on ebay. Just not sure. Good luck.

I bought a lure in the 80’s that had eyes just like that - the way they are positioned is unusual, and they were more realistic that what was common at the time. My lure had a metal bill, and was jointed.

 

The red gill on the one posted reminds me of Strike King squarebills.

Looks like a Lee Sisson bait to me? He worked for Bagelys if I remember correctly then started his own company. His baits are similar to Bagely and he would use 3d eyes like on the bait here.

You may be right. It definitely has a Bagley-like paint job, and the rear horizontal hook anchor that he favored, but the Sisson lures that I have seen had painted, not dimensional, eyes.

I would definitely agree that this has a Bagley/Sisson look to it. When Lee left Bagleys in 1985, he helped keep cash flowing by manufacturing for a number of major brands (Norman, Manns, Strike King) including Walmart and Basspro. So with the molded eyes, Poes looking coffin bill, it certainly could've come out of the Sisson plant.
