BASS new electronic restrictions

I use my power pole a lot. That said, I don't have spot lock and I rarely fish deeper than around 10', 15' at the deepest.

You are 100% correct!

I spoke with an MLF tournament director today and they hope to make an announcement in the next week or two.

I have a pair of power-poles and use them multiple times every time I go fishing.  I'm surprised I haven't worn them out!

Regarding power poles/shallow water anchors.  I don't have them.  I suspect spot lock trolling motors have slowed shallow water anchors somewhat.   However, IF you're fishing in water shallow enough to use them I believe they would be MAGIC when using live sonar.  Not only does being perfectly still help the image on live sonar, it also helps track fish and your lure, compared to a moving boat, or blowing around some on spot lock.  Perhaps the Crappie brakes give the same effect in deeper water.

I have Lowrance Active Target, so I suppose I'm "pro technology".    However, after thinking about it for a few days it's my opinion that 55 inches isn't a low enough limit for screens.
