If you know the bass are located at your favorite spot and not striking your lures leave and return in a few hours when the bass are more active.

Musky anglers do this all the time with follows. They'll leave to rest the fish and return later.

I do think that fish treatment has some impact on how likely they are to remember. Boat flip her and keep her out of the water for a full minute, or in your livewell for a while? Much more negative signal than grabbing lips by the water, unhooking, and letting her swim away.

So when you do catch one, don't give it a reason to remember the event.

I prefer the alien abduction method at night, bright led headlamp right in the eyeball.  In the morning, none of the other fish will believe it was real and neither will that one :)

I beat spots till I do not catch fish at them then I give them a break. If you are still catching. No reason to switch it up. No one else is going to stop going you might as well be the one catching them. With the water changing on the river it’s not as much of a problem as staying in one area for months on end.

I think this one really hit the nail on the head, if everybody is already beating that same 20 yard bank to death I might as well take a shot too. I can't actually give it any rest...

Now the question is do I rest my tackle? Only throw 1 or 2 lures each visit? Throw everything every time? I'm over thinking all this just fish?

I've fished the exact same 400 acre lake 3 times consecutively, same spots as well simply because they've been biting what I'm throwing.

What about 50 acres?

Or literally the same 3/4 10-25 yard banks on a water?

@1984isNOW never change what is catching you fish. When catch rates drop than change. That's my opinion anyway. Now when I fish with someone else I will once we start getting on them one keeps the same on and usually I search for something else to see if it’s working better.
