I love it when they throw spawning in there, totally explains why they have them in the lowest water temps of the year in the dead of winter 😂

Kind of like when they pee and people say it’s because they are spawning…..

that is because they are spawning or close to it. milt release. ive never caught a big fat female spraying all over the place. Have had some fish drop a deuce on me/the boat. always accredited that to my ferocious hookset and scaring the crap out of em

Certainly a possibility.

A couple of our rivers produce really dark fish, including the eyes; lake smallies here tend to be lighter.

...the rivers have so many crayfish it seems like the bottom is moving sometimes...
