Hahaha. I’ve cheapened up pretty good over the last couple years. I used to run all wild and stuff

I’m frugal on almost everything else.

But when it comes to fishing/hunting gear I go all out.

  • When I could get 2 full rigs of a JDM Tatula on a Victory for that same amount....I'd have to plead temporary insanity to pay that for just a rod.

I don’t understand why the Zillions aren’t popular. I love mine, very light and sensitivity isn’t far behind my Steez rod. At least Daiwa  didn’t raise the price on those.

I love mine also. I think most people see them as Diawa trying to make an Expride and would rather go the Shimano route. Hard to compete with a rod that everyone has been saying fishes a couple hundred dollars above its price point for years.
I spent lots of time trying to research them before I pulled the trigger and it was crazy how little info there was about them online.

Steez XT 2.0?  Appears to be.  The XT shared a blank with the AGS Steez, but came with Alconite guides.

I don’t think this uses the same blank as the Steez AGS. The AGS uses SVF compile X:

The 2025 Steez uses SVF nanoplus:
