We made it to the Solstice! Hail the tilt of the Earth. We're coming around again to the sweet stretch in the Earth's revolution. The short days are the hardest thing about winter...for me.

I say the same thing every single solstice to Meagan and Jake:  “Hey guys you know what this means right?  More daylight every day from now til mid June 😍😍😍

They’re like thanks nerd dad.  😂😂😂

I sacrificed a rotisserie chicken today to appease the winter gods. Don’t know if they liked it, but we did.

It's one of the two days out of 365 that you can stand an egg on its end. I used to go into our local Denny's and order a dozen and then stand them up along the window. It was one of the ways I stayed in touch with my inner child.  I don't do it anymore because that child escaped.

Longer days are nice to look forward to, but I'd settle for a couple of days in a row above freezing  :Please:

I often feel the same way, as a lot of the membership might too, but look around this forum. The kid didn’t stray too far.
