I think we skipped spring.

Featured Replies

Ya it’s been hot and cold here in central Maine…..well, except for the hot part. Next week isn’t looking any better. Highs around 40 🤮 I suspect we are in for the latest ice out I’ve seen in 10+ years

50 degrees for the high today and water temperature 42 degrees.

In Central Pa.

Where? I've been out nine times this year and thrown just about everything and haven't gotten so much as a sniff yet. Water temps were 39.x - 41.x where I pretended to fish today on Cape Cod.

I'm probably pretty close to setting a BassResource record for number of trips without a bite. Getting time to sink the boat, recycle the kayaks, donate my gear, and find a new hobby.

Talk about hitting rock bottom …. Oooo …. Poor choice of words …. Hang in there bud

Keep chucking, man. Sometimes you gotta break a few eggs to make an omelette

Pick a pond or lake that has an inlet that’s slow moving and shallow. I fish some lakes around 4,000 acres. They have shallow, swampy inlets with a bridge where they dump into the lake. That’s your spot. If the lake is 40 and the inlet is dumping water that 42, it’ll be on fire. I’ll attach some examples

“Skipped spring all together”

Be careful. Comedians are supposed to know their audience. If Bass Resource had shareholder meetings they would be a 7am at a Hardees. And I wouldn't miss a single one.

@Swimbaitstud: Last spring, I fished a bitsy bay off a bigger bay that had swamp current flowing through it. It was perhaps a foot deep, so I saw bass after bass streaking for my lure.

We're not that far apart, but I guessing I'm still a month away from soft water. So, I too am skunking, albeit from home.

Started fishing last summer, and now it's summer again. I'm not complaining though. I've caught fish in very pressured waters the early mornings.
