Bucca Swim Baits

I am not very well versed in the hard swim bait arena and someone recommended one of these. Has anyone used them and what was your opinion? I'm looking at this version in a natural color. I might also use it while muskie fishing.

Great baits for the price. I like the bone & shad colors. You can wake them, slow retrieve them & speed crank them all effectively. I caught a big five lb largemouth on my first cast using one.

That's enough evidence for me @Dwight Hottle

Thanks

I agree with @Dwight Hottle, good baits. If you fish weedy water, I definitely prefer the floaters and adding some wire or small weights to control sink rate.

I’ve always liked the Bull Gills, great all around bait and a good intro to the hard bodied swimbaits.

I like the resin baits, not as big fan of the injected baits like that bluegill though. It's not a bad bait at all, just nothing really special IMO. Really like my Bull Shads and Bull Wakes, as well as the Trick Shads.

The 6" floating resin bullshad is my most successful bucca bait, by far. This girl really wanted it, a whole lot of fun.

I bought one last night.

I will re-visit this thread when I'm able to use it. That may not be for a while though, as its scalding hot here plus we're also inundated with wildfire smoke too.

Scalding hot is a perfect time to throw one! I stuck an 8.5 on a Shellcracker G2 when it was 110 out at Canyon Lake, just swimming it around the marina docks.
