hey, i just bought a quantum kvd baitcaster.  im not made of money so i didnt want to buy the combo for doulble the price of the reel.  i want a nice rod but nice on my wallet...

what's your price range?

For around 30 I like the feel of the berkley lightning rods...

for around 60, BPS has their Extreme rods on sale frequently

for around 90, St croix has the Premier model

for around 100 you can buy my st croix avid cranking rod :)

Knowing your budget is probably the key to any of us providing recommendations.

BPS has some decent graphite series rods on sale now.

reg price is 29.00,  sale is 20 bucks!  IM6 graphite.

No such thing a goo quality cheap rod.

Anything from Bass Pro Shops in the Express on up...

yeah I heard one of the members say a Berkley Lightning Rod... I have one it's cheap on price- lasts long and has a good feel to it... I'd recommend this rod for sure...

Horse Hockey!!! He asked for good quality INEXPENSIVE, not cheap. There is a difference and you can get good quality without taking out a second mortgage on the house!!

The BPS Extreme (on sale) seems to get pretty good reviews on this forum. However, I would suggest being patient and picking up a "deal" from our Flea Market. You might get twice the rod for half the price!

Just takes a little searching but,  the bargains are there. :)

Cabelas Eagle 11 is a really good rod. They were on sale in there bargain cave for $39.99 down from $80.00. I bought a really great two piece a few weeks ago and love it! They have a bunch of sizes and choices to choose from too. Came with a nice solid case too. Mike

Shimano convergance   u can get um for 30 bucks with a lifetime warrenty i have 4 of them and i put um through hell
