You mean the new 7.1:1 Steez...

We've been fixated on Shimano's new Curado, but everything seems boring in comparison to what Daiwa throws on the table.

That Zillion needs more bling.  Looks a little cheap IMO.

You don't think that the handle in the reel pictured is more than a little pedestrian?

I was thinking how great it would be to turn the handle once and your bait already be back to the boat  ;D.  Seriously though, I think a reel with an IPT 32" could really help in your hooksetting power.  I think we all crank the handle around the same amount of times before setting the hook, regardless of the reel we are using.  No slack my friend...no slack.

I'll admit that I like the look of the reel, and I love my TDZ100HLA, and it's a special edition, but the IPT on this SE is 32", that's only .4" more than the current high-speed.  Since when does less than half of an inch warrent the name 'Hyper Speed?'

I must say that the prospect of the eleven CRBB over the four CRBB and two SS bearings in the current Zillion is very nice.  I'm assuming some of those badboys found their way into the handle?  I hope so.  I'll be ticked if we have to buy a whole new handle if we want to do a bearing upgrade, like on the current domestic models.

The news of the Zillion rods is freakin' awesome.  I just hope they have a short, 5'10"-6'3", medium powered rod for topwater.

They will have a Zillion rod like that. :) TDZL631MFB Medium power Fast taper 6'3" 8-17 lb test and 1/8-5/8 oz lure weight.

That's the best news I have heard all day.  Looks like you just spent my money Robert.   ;D  It's a good thing the Calcutta DC doesn't come in a 101, or the pics you posted would have spent A LOT more of my dough.

that zillion is sick ... ohh crap now how can i get my hands on one of those
