Reely kool !

Featured Replies

It's a custom painted Daiwa Pixy.

That reel is far more than a custom painted Daiwa Pixy - it is a true work of art both inside and out - minus those ugly reel grips ;D

I agree 100%. That Pixy is smokin'! (Especially without those grips)

And, the handle is on the correct side.

The very first baitcasting reel was designed by a guy called "South-Paw Corrigan"  ;)

The reel in the picture was obviously intended for a right-handed angler.

Yup, that 's the only flaw, got the handle on the wrong side. ;D

wait, if the handle was on the other side, you'd have to change hands after every cast! ;)

Crank the handle with the wrong hand ?  ;)

Someone assembled it backwards, they put the handle on the wrong side and those grips just plain suck!

Nice paint job though.  ;)

I'm not sure what the hangup on the grips is...they come off in about 10 seconds. Some guys swear by them, I find them "creepy" feeling. Having the handle on one side or another would only dictate what I used the reel for, though I can pretty much use either side, and no "hand switching" necessary.

Its still the wrong color. ;)

Right color .... Maziora perhaps ?

It would look nice in Maziora, blue, oh boy the possibilities are endeless !   ;)

Reels should be black or silver.  Period.  I'll let the color slide if performance outshines color though.  ;)
