Just took a peek on Tackle Tour and they have a pre release feature on the Revo Premier spinning reel.  Looks pretty nice but it's a spendy piece.

That is one awesome looking reel. I'm  hoping Ill be able to pick one up, it'll just be awhile.

Lighter and stronger are the right words to describe the new Abu Garcia Revo Premier spinning reel. This brand new spinning reel is described as 300% stronger than graphite and 50% lighter than aluminum.

Two models are offered. The PRM20 weighs 7.9 ounces, has a gear ratio of 5.1:1 spooling 27 inches of line per turn of the handle with a spool capacity of 130 yards of 8-pound test monofilament or 190 yards of 8-pound test Fireline®. Model PRM30 weighs 8.1 ounces, has a gear ratio of 5.8:1 spooling 33 inches of line per handle turn with a spool capacity of 140 yards of 10-pound test mono and 180 yards of 10-pound Fireline.

The new Abu Garcia Revo Premier spinning reel will be available after ICAST in the September timeframe and will retail for $249.95.

Too much Bling for my eyes, but like anything, it's what's on the inside that really matters. Time will tell...

It's similar. Not sure if it's hollow or not.  Abu has been using that type of bail ever since the 700 and 800 series came out some years ago.

I wonder how successful this reel will be at that price point?

It's pretty in looks and price.

Abu's bail wires are solid Aluminum and the NanoShielded material looks very cool especially if it delivers on the lighter stronger quote.

For me it's too expensive for a freshwater reel.  Staying in the Abu line up, I'm perfectly content with my cardinal 802, which I moved from saltwater, plenty light for me and it's exceptionally smooth.  I caught a 35# snook with it before I made it freshwater.
