If you could have ONLY 1 combo for the rest of your life, what would you pick? And why?

Include Rod, Reel, and Line! Be specific!

Waiting to see what every body says!

Baitcaster with 6:1 gear ratio, 6'6" MH rod, 12lb mono.

7'6'' xh baitcast rod with a 6.3:1 baitcast reel with 80lb braid for swimbaits, flippin mats and frogging

h3tu-twr american rodsmith's 6-6 jig @worm rod with a pflueger patriarch xt spooled with 30 lb fireline braid.you could fish almost anything on this combo without a problem and it's superlight.

Very tough.

Probably a Dobyns 795 Extreme Rod / Revo STX 7.1 / 65lb braid and then either 15,20,25lb leader depending on the situation.

mbr783 glx

steez 103

the line was the hardest part...could get by with either 12# yozuri hybrid or trilene 100%.

Hell yeah Dodgeguy, I'm glad to see you like that Patriarch too I can't wait to get my hands on one.

I'm gonna have to say a Loomis NRX with a Pflueger Patriarch, super light super sensitive and super sweet. Neither of these products are actually out, but I feel so confident in what I know about both products and both companies that I think I'd be quite a happy camper.

Shimano Core 50Mg

Shimano Cumara 7'2" M XF

Trilene 100% flouro 12lb

B/C I love to throw soft plastics.

This combo is super light and super sensitive with enough power to horse them out.

My Daiwa/Megabass IS73

My Evergreen Black Raven

Daiwa Samurai Braid 40#/Megabass Dragon call FC for leader.

I have reels that cost between $15 to $100 along with decent fishing rods. I find that we need to use good fishing line thats were you want to put your $$$ in good line. If anything will lose fish its the line were using not the reels/rods.

With rods and reels i buy anything thats on sale or clearance. For reels I use okuma, finor, viva and quantum.  I use any rod that has the feel that i like.

Shimano Stradic 3000FI

Shimano Compre 6' 6" MH Fast

15# PowerPro with 100% Trilene FC leader

Shimano Core 100

Powell 683c

PP or Sufix braid

Shimano Curado 200e7

Powell 703C

Suffix Siege 14 lb. test

A lot of versatility with this setup.  I can throw topwaters, square bill cranks, texas rigs, finesse jigs, Carolina rigs, and probably some other stuff I can't think of right now.
