Got my 1st Megabass reel!post-42743-0-60654400-1448947091_thumb.jpost-42743-0-79645600-1448947210_thumb.jpost-42743-0-34841500-1448947262_thumb.jpost-42743-0-59942300-1448947308_thumb.jpost-42743-0-22787000-1448947350_thumb.j Did a little part swapping with my TDZ. Drag star and spool. I'm curious to see how the 1010 spool from the FX68 Rosso performs in my TDZ 103. Here are some before and after pics of the FX68, and the new look TDZ.

Well the fishing season here is finally done. Temps forecasted in the 30s and 40s and lows in the 20s with snow. Decided to snap a few photos of the casting reels I finished the year with once I removed them from their respective rods. I will work on getting better pictures and lighting when I have more time. These were the "dirty dozen". Half Shimano and half Daiwa so there would be no hard feelings.

I will do a photo update at a later date and also do combo photos with the rods. Fish slime to be added later though all have caught and reeled in fish. This will have to do for now.

:drool1:    Dang sweet reels man!

Nice 17" Rainbow today :)

All the rods are Falcon except two, one isn't shown and one is a 20yr old Castaway.

All the reels are Shimano except for two and two spares.  I will be going back to all Lews or may try a couple Pfluegers.  Most of the time I have more braid on but I haven't fished much since my Arkansas trip.

I tried to cut it down from 12 to 5 not including the spinning reel. I got close, but it's so hard to let any of these go. I could do without the ss sv. Not too impressed for the money. All jdm models except the Steez, and all have some sort of upgrades or parts swapping done to them. From left to right.

Is that a Dress detonator titan handle?

No, it's a Banax handle. They're on eBay for $50 plus shipping. The Dress handles are a burnt titanium finish. I assume that's where the titan part comes from. The Banax handle would go nicely on the Aurora. Maybe even an Ito.

Nice. What does tigerodz charge for a build on those revelation blanks? Ballpark anyways.

The new Citica looks on point with the Curado spool.

How similar are the EMTF and SS in terms of power/action?  I have an EMTF and have been thinking about the SS as my next addition.

Any insight would be most appreciated! :D

I haven't used the SB special yet as I just got it. I did play around with it for a bit. Upon flexing the blank and making a few test casts in the yard. I'd say power wise it's pretty close. The emtf is definitely faster in taper.  From all the reading I've done most people say these are the 2 to have out of the xx lineup along with the Diablo. Which will be my next addition.

Thanks!  Good to know, confirms sort of what I was thinking...I've had my eye on the SS since they came out but ended up with the EMTF and Ronin first somehow.  Both of those are great, but I need to finally pick up the SS so that empty feeling will go away :D.

I've also heard similar things regarding the EMTF, SS, and Diablo being the benchmarks for the series...Along with very high praise for the Flat Side Special, which is also high on my wanted list.

Added this to the lineup, Team Daiwa Zillion Type R.  Looking to add a Megabass Levante Perfect Pitch for froggin' come spring!

Sweet!! I'm a diehard Shimano fan but I would love to add a type r or j-dream to my line up(if I could afford it)

Picked this up on Monday. Megabass Orochi X4 F3-68X4 "Rattle Viper Technical Game" Also picked up a MetaniumXG and am going back and forth between putting the AldebaranHG or the Met on it.
