Had 30lbs today and my dad had 14lbs in our club tournament. Our best 5 combined was 33lbs. I had 3 fish between 7- 10lbs jump off. My big fish i caught was 9.5lbs.  Lots of tournaments coming up, but

  • Well two days in & only 3 fish ?   But one was tagged BassCashBash which I was registered in, it won me a 2019 Dodge Ram!

I thought it would be appropriate to bump this thread after hearing the bad news of @Catt's passing.  I don't fish Toledo Bend but this is a very interesting read for anyone.  I know Tommy took a lot

We're fishing all day and night this weekend

My report is good & bad. Friday I spent in my little cove. Caught 4 on cane thumper swim bait. Biggest 5.25. Saturday went to a little cove not far from mine. I caught 7 pitching brush all on beavers. Best 5 went 20-21 lbs. Sunday went to the back of San Miguel. I caught 3 on crankbaits. Lost one on a fluke. Monday went to clear creek. Caught 1 on a beaver, 6.5 lbs & a knot head on a cane thumper. Monday afternoon went to the cove by the camp. Caught 4 on beavers & missed 3 others

I've never seen the lake this high since we've had the camp. Totally new fishing for me, not to mention the off colored water.

I'll be back Monday for the week.

What cove do you stay in now I'm getting worried

I'm on San Miguel in the first cove north if where 1215 hits the water.

I'm staying in Indian creek this weekend it's my big fishing trip before I start my ninety day on call so I'm hoping to catch good

Good luck

I've been reading and following this post for a while now and finally have something to share. A buddy and myself came up to the lake on Wednesday and fished the 1215 area and managed 10 with 5 keepers around hay grass on spinnerbaits. Today we fished the day with 25, with 16 being keepers. All fish came off of bushes and cypress trees on watermelon/ red super Hawgs in San Patricio area.

Hey Mike Reed ;)

Great Report!

How many had eggs!

I fish St Patricio all the time. My camp is on young rd.  Question my friend had is boat wrap and I was told that would scare the fish?  I didn't want to say to much, but it is kind of bright. :laugh5:  :respect-059:

Thanks Mike

It's windy out there, y'all be careful ;)

He is Risen!!! Happy Easter to all. Good to be back on the site. Good to see Catt still involved.

Finally gonna get to scrape the dust off the rods, change line and head to the pond Wednesday. Will give an update. Purple and gold ranger. Geaux Tigers.

Caughts 24 over weekend with 21 being keepers in Indian creek biggest fish 3.75 smallest being 1.5 all on. 1 on rattling rogue 14 on watermelon red baby brushhog and 5 on Okeechobee craw jig. Most of the fish were between 7 and 8 pm at night. Overall a great trip when you average over 2 pounds per fish. And most of the bigger ones had eggs

So, I've read this thread completely. But of course, conditions change. From what I heard, the lake is full.

I'm going for the first time this next weekend. What part of the lake should I start in? I don't need your secret spot, but where to go? Mid-lake, south, or? We can trailer (just a club tournament). I have a day to try to put something together.

In the paulo gaucho area the fish were being caught on creature baits. Push your boats as far up into the trees as possible and target cypress trees. You spend as much time hung up as fishing but thats where they are.

Frog bite is on right now in the hay grass. Saturday lost a good one on a popping frog and landed a few nice ones. Had a buddy and his wife catch 20+ each day on sencos in the grass and said when they would pull it to the top they would hit them almost like a top water bite. Wish they would've thrown a frog too beings they were way north of where I was just to see if it was on there too. I love to frog fish and can throw that sucker all day.

Got it figure out, the wrap boat look like a shark from underwater looking up. We are changing the wrap to a big bleeding

shad!! We going back out this weekin on Toledo and try again.

Everyone Have a Bless Day!!
