Had 30lbs today and my dad had 14lbs in our club tournament. Our best 5 combined was 33lbs. I had 3 fish between 7- 10lbs jump off. My big fish i caught was 9.5lbs.  Lots of tournaments coming up, but

  • Well two days in & only 3 fish ?   But one was tagged BassCashBash which I was registered in, it won me a 2019 Dodge Ram!

I thought it would be appropriate to bump this thread after hearing the bad news of @Catt's passing.  I don't fish Toledo Bend but this is a very interesting read for anyone.  I know Tommy took a lot

I just noticed something on the lake conditions report. The gates are open from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm. Current during the heat of the day? That makes me want to try heat stroke! I'm sure the fish respond positively to the current. Please tell me I'm wrong.

La Nana, points & creeks, there are lots of them!

I would be some where out near the mouth & on the north side.

65 miles long & 10 miles wide, how much current do ya really think it will create?

It will position them on structure ;)

Thanks. I have no clue how much current they produce. That was my crazy way of asking ;) I'll just try to fish early in the morning, all night, 11:00 - 12:00 pm, and right before dark.

So far Housen is still using my lips for a boxing speed bag but it ain't over yet!!!!

Atleast your there. I stayed close by the house and fished Saline/Larto and stunk it up!

Oh, I'm staying positive. It's on tonight! Wish you were here. I used to love Saline/Larto. It will come back around... I hope!

How about a Blue Bird Day with a north wind in July!?!?! Lol I can plan some trips now!

Got a boat slip and can't even put my boat in it without ripping my trolling motor off lol. Anybody has Garmin depth finders? Their boat is here contouring. It's rocking in the boat house.

I figured it was rough up there today. I saw Humminbird out ere last summer graphing the lake for their lakemaster chip. Hopefully they will have Toledo in HD soon!

Humminbird has released lake master card with HD from, I think, Lowes down to the dam and up to Pleasure point on the La side. It's just the coves and mouths of them. Nothing in the middle of main lake.

Heading to the lake this weekend to do a little fishing. Its been two weeks so I'm chomping at the bit. Neighbor called yesterday and said that one of my trees fell on my lakeshore during some rough weather a couple days ago. Not sure what i'm going to encounter there but I'm hoping it isn't to bad. Just finally got the whole lakeshore cleaned up and looking the way I wanted it last trip.

Drag it out in the lake and send me the way points so I wont hit it :)

I think this ones gonna be way to big to drag kking lol . I'm always torn this time of year between night fishing or deep ridge fishing during the day. Cant decide what I want to do this weekend. These are the kind of problems I like to have, decisions , decisions, decisions.

The night time is the right time ;)

I may make it out there tonight but will for sure be there Friday night!

Sadly, all I can tell you is Beavers against the hay grass was most productive for me. I caught a few on black and blue chatter bait near hay grass. Very few little ones on a drop shot deep. Zero on that 10xd deep. One on a fire tiger Norman crankbait. Zero on a jig. Zero on a T rig worm big or small trick or not. Zero on a black buzzbait. Zero on a gun fish top water. Still learning I guess. Good luck.

In case effort is in question. I woke up at 2:30 am last Friday morning and the next time I went to sleep was 9:00 am Saturday mornin'. My trolling motor died at 12:30 am Sat morn, which didn't help. Then fished from 6:00 am Sunday till about noon and had to head back to the house.

90° heat index @ 4:30 am!

Y'all stay hydrated ;)

Needing some help!  I will be coming down to TB the last of August.  I need a place to store my boat for a month.  Does anyone know of a Boat Storage some where around  6 mile.

There is a good boat storage at fairmont 4 miles south of sixmile on 87 across from gas station thats well kept.

Would you know the name or phone number??

OK  Got it!!

Ugh! Wide awake & aint on the lake! ;)

Well, just got back. Got to the lake yesterday at daylight and was planning on fishing until noon today, but didn't work out. About 10 pm I'm pretty sure my motor blew. I was in Housen when it happened and had to catch a ride to Pirates Cove to get my truck and trailer around. Not a good night!

But fishing wise, I caught 40 or so fish total. During daylight I could have caught 1000 kentuckys lol. And there are schoolers everywhere around the mouth of Buck and at the generators when they are running. Some good fish mixed in with them too! Caught 2 over 5 and 1 right at 6 late evening/right after dark. I think I could have caught a big sack last night had my motor not blew!
