Had 30lbs today and my dad had 14lbs in our club tournament. Our best 5 combined was 33lbs. I had 3 fish between 7- 10lbs jump off. My big fish i caught was 9.5lbs.  Lots of tournaments coming up, but

  • Well two days in & only 3 fish ?   But one was tagged BassCashBash which I was registered in, it won me a 2019 Dodge Ram!

I thought it would be appropriate to bump this thread after hearing the bad news of @Catt's passing.  I don't fish Toledo Bend but this is a very interesting read for anyone.  I know Tommy took a lot

The forecast looks ok and the wind shouldn't be that bad, but who knows.  I have a bunch of deep stuff marked that I want to fish if possible.

I'm probably gonna wait for the full moon & do some night fishing!

The wind has been crazy for over a month now!

Sounds like a good plan, the spawn is drawing to a close on San Miguel not many fish leavet on the banks right now.

Well there wasn't last time I got to go out but who knows maybe a few still doing their thing.

Just been to windy for me the last few days, that and I been busy with setting up a new deer stand and doing some preseason preping.

I'm finally heading to the Bend this weekend. I will be fishing around 6-mile and Housen with the other 10000 boats. I will post a report good or bad. Y'all be safe out there.

Might not be too crowded cause the Big Bass Splash is going down at Rayburn. Good luck.

Was able to get out this afternoon, found bass on their post spawn pattern spots.

Buck brush with shad blown in it hitting the frog and on a few humps in 10 or lil less water with cranks.

Biggest being a spawned out female that was just over 3 pounds.

Most being just over or just under 14 inches.

Landed 23, keep 7, missed are lost like more then I want to admit too, brings up a good point to remember slow down check my hooks lol.

Hope this helps somebody.

I'm with you catt. I'm ready for some warm summer nights with a Texas rigged worm, my favorite black crankbaits and maybe even a buzzbait oif I want to hit a flatt.

I wish you two would quit with the night fishing talk I'm going to miss it this month because of work.

Breaking my heart.

I hope so but there is a tournament out of Fin and Feather.

There is also a bfl out of San Miguel.

2 quick questions:

1.  Is the shad spawn happening?

2.  For those that like to fish deep.  What do the fish do when it is cloudy?  Do they move up on top of the ridge or do they just act normal?

Thanks.

Yea it's going good so far.

Just got to get use to this hitch rotation again, been awhile since I was on a steady 21/21 hitch.

If the weather would be nice I could get in a few last days of fishing before wensday.

Wind is building today, and log trucks or over turning in zwolle drive safe.

Well she didn't make weight, she was 9.12 on the scale, so loader her back up took a pic at home and put her back on her bed behind the my old stump where I caught her.

Can't seem to get the pic small enough to upload it.

Not on the lake so can't answer #1

#2: deep water fish are less affected by weather conditions

Congrats Blaster!

Just wish I could get the pic uploaded so yall could see, I have edited it as small as I can and it still says it's too large

You're welcome bud. Insert other media never works for me. Did you try the "click to choose files button"?

Congrats man! Try taking a screenshot of the pic then uploading the screenshot.  That’s what I have to do a lot.
