No pics. It was a tiny dark green worm attached to the roof of the inside of their mouth. Maybe a quarter inch long. I noticed it in about five of the fish I caught. I am going out this morning. If I see it again I will take a pic.

That worm is a leach. I have seen it multiple times in fish on Amistad and Falcon. That is about all I know of it though

Thanks for the info Don. Now that i think about it only one end was actually attached to the roof of the mouth. I didn't see any on Monday. Never knew a leech could be that small.

ISH caught one over 10 on practice

Wow! Didn't he catch one last time too?

I saw a few of their boats Monday but, I strictly fished Housen area. A few of them in my immediate area. I seen em catch a couple really small ones but that was it and I couldn't tell what they were doing or throwing except for the very noticeable jigging.

I have heard that at times they will pre-fish with no hooks. Not sure if that is true. I was hoping to learn something and I watched them close as I stayed in one spot for a few hours Carolina rigging. the point i was fishing would re-load about every 40 minutes on this one stump so I saw no reason to move but, when I did they started graphing the area and fishing it.

Those guys will take a little while to break down the lake and it makes me sick but, that is why they are pros! I would like to go out there on the water and watch but, don't wanna be in the way. I will just make it a regular fishing day.

I would love to be there this week to watch some of those guys fish the lake. Apparently 20-25 ft. ridges and ledges are producing right now. I wont be able to make another trip up there for awhile...my dang boat is broke again.

I'm with you Fanatic. Foot went out Easter week and now I'm putting wife in school, so money for the new foot hasn't found me yet.

I see it on TV sometimes but, I have also heard the anglers complain a little bit about them. Are there some guidelines to follow besides the obvious?

Thanks for the offer man! I appreciate it and would take you up on it, but I have a club tournament this weekend on the Red River. Im fishing out of my dads boat for the time being, but man Im missing my own lol. As far as rules go, Im not sure if there are any in place besides the obvious...stay a respectable distance away, use your TM and not big motor as much as possible, and dont go right behind them and catch thier fish. Sounds simple, but Ive seen many people do stupid stuff.

Did you see this for yourself, if not where did you here it. Just watched a video of him and he is confused and best practice he had was day before yesterday with 5 fish totaling about 8 lbs.

did read in the live blog that yesterday when chapman moved about 100yrds from one of his buoy markers someone motored in marked a waypoint and took off, then another spectator pulled up and started fishing the marker.

yeah i saw that too. Can't beleive people will stoop so low. They could have at least waypointed from a distance and came back after the weekend. SkeeterDon that could have been his 10lb 15oz fish from last year on Toledo.

That's screwed up. I went to the launch on day 3 and stayed there most of the day. Went fishing on Sunday and they came to where I was at in Housen for about an hour or so. then when I went to toro there was one of em on the point I usually fish there. I fished the next point and watched. I didn't see him catch anything.

Chapman (same name as mine) had a spoon from what I saw that was about the length of my hand. It looked huge. I walked right out on the dock before the launch and looked. They were giving autographs and stuff but I was mostly seeing what was tied on and that really jumped out at me. I haven't seen a spoon that big since I fished up north in the finger lakes.

Locate the school and make em bite seemed to be the key.

I saw that too. Never seen one this big before though. When I saw him hook it to the keeper by the reel and lay it down on the deck before the launch it really caught my eye. I would say it was about 6 to 7 inches long.

Its no doubt that the majority of the bigger fish have moved into deeper water. The thermocline should be setting up nicely soon which should make the fish bunch a little tighter. If you can find a ridge that is about 4 foot shallower than the thermocline then there should be a good school nearby. For example, if the thermcline is 25 ft. then find a ridge or hump in 20 FOW that drops off into the main river channel and fish the top of the hump and then on the drop just above the thermocline. They will move up on top to feed and back down right above the thermocline to just chill. Looks like thats what alot of the top Elite anglers did. Big spoons, worms, football jigs, and 6XD's are the way to go right now. I will be up there Wednesday (and maybe Tuesday) to see what I can find. One more tip...use your electronics! No use in fishing an area that has no fish.

Made a quick trip to Rayburn sun morning for fathers day. It was slow, caught 5. Three on worms deep and two early on top water. But one of the fish on top water went 7#9oz. Thats my new PB.

Back to Toledo next weekend.
