Here are some pictures and the video from the giant I caught at LaCygne this weekend. She weighed 10 ls 15 oz and released to fight another day.

Fished LaCygne Sunday- I started up lake and noticed quite a few boats in the river section. I pitched flooded brush and water willows for a while ending up with one fish about 2lbs.

Hey might be a silly question, but for a noob like me I'm curious, whats that on your left wrist you keep touching after you catch one?

It's a remote that's linked to the camera so I can start/stop recording or take a still picture. It just makes it easier to find the catches when I stop a clip when I catch a fish.

Man with all those rods on the deck and barefoot makes me nervous just watching!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't leave any hooks laying out and there's plenty of room to keep them out of the way so I don't step on any. The dog is the biggest concern usually when it comes to stepping on hooks.

Sure its not his step counter LOL :)

I had that on too :) Problem is it also counts cast apparently.

Used to live about 4 miles from Lone Star.  Buddy ran the marina for a while.  Man, I miss that little lake.

I found if you fish a sissy stick you get a lot more steps and burn more calories.  :laugh5:   Just proves fishing is exercise.

Danger Ranger figured out that as well once he put it on the correct wrist :)

Fished Gardner Lake this morning before the storm and did well. They were hitting top water. Caught 12 on a green and white popper.

Took my wife and daughter out to lake Lenexa to see how much lake time a 1 year old could stand. Turns out about 30 minutes. Made 30 casts with a frog while tied to a tree and had 5 blowup on it. Landed one. This was at 2 in the afternoon, so I'm sure somebody could whack em pretty good out there and have some fun with a bit more time.

Bassyakker your pictures are getting me pumped. I am moving to gardner and will be living with the in laws on the lake. I am hoping to get a kayak soon so I can get off the bank.

Gardner is certainly not the best lake in the area but it has it's moments. I live 5 minutes from the ramp and never fish it because it can be so dang tough more often than not.

I will definitely be fishing other places but it will be nice to be able to fish right out my backdoor if I am short on time or with my 2 year old daughter.

Gardner is a great lake for kids if you have a house out there or fishing from a boat. It's loaded with big bluegill, green sunfish, and warmouth.

If anyone wants to fish tomorrow I've got an empty seat. Not sure where I'm going yet, thinking Pleasanton, La Cygne, or Wabaunsee.

.

That is the nice thing with Gardner Lake is its 2 minutes from my house. If I don't have much time I can go there and get my fix. Usually always catch something too.

Made it back from Rainy Lake.  Had a great trip and caught plenty of fish!

That's Awesome that it is good for kids. I think she will love pulling in some big bluegill. Heck I like pulling in big bluegill. Maybe when I get there and get my yak we can do some fishing bassyakker.

Any body been to lacygne lately? How's the bite?

Went Sunday and us and a few others didnt fare very well, wind kept us off a few spots, WT 91 discharge to 86 up the river and muddy!
