Here are some pictures and the video from the giant I caught at LaCygne this weekend. She weighed 10 ls 15 oz and released to fight another day.

Fished LaCygne Sunday- I started up lake and noticed quite a few boats in the river section. I pitched flooded brush and water willows for a while ending up with one fish about 2lbs.

Wolf should be open. I didn't see any signs about them going to be closed on Thursday.

I fished La Cygne Wednesday.  Only had one bite but it was a three pounder.  Other boat in my area claimed to have 18lbs.  We'll see what happens today.

We got out to Coffee County Lake for a couple hours this morning before getting called off due to wind.  Fish were active, nothing worth taking a pic of but it was nice just to be out on the water after this miserable weekend.

A buddy and I had 17.5 lbs today at LaCygne and another couple of buddies had 13.5 lbs.

Was going to go to Wolf Creek yesterday but I was afraid of what Fry said.  Didn't want to drive an hour and a half and get blown off.  Went to Bone Creek for a few hours.  37* water.  Worked pretty hard. Nothing.

It was open. Called them at 6:30 and they said nothing was preventing anyone from getting out (although TinBoatBassin said he got called off due to wind). Then I went back to bed. After my strike out with them being closed on both Saturday and Sunday, I decided it just wasn't meant to be for me this weekend. Til next weekend.

We didn't have 13 lbs or 17 lbs at La Cygne yesterday, but we did finally figure out the correct area at the end of the day.

3.72 lbs on deep jerkbait (no it wasn't caught by the ramp)

Avg temp was @ 40-42* but as low as 38* in some places and 50+* at the outlet.

50-60 fish day. Nothing over 18 this time. Plenty to keep me entertained. Not often do I get the boat to myself and I needed it.

Chatterbaits, ned rigs, and swimbaits??

Yes.

I also recently had a buddy build a custom rod for me. 6' 10" mag-medium light. Basically a Loomis EX6 blank (DS822). Got to break it in nicely. If anyone is interested in a custom rod, his prices are super reasonable. He also lives less than a mile away from the Wolf.

Nice work!  Heading there Saturday.  Did you stick to the outlet mainly?  Catch any cold water fish.  Curious what the water temps were?  Thanks!

Went yesterday to avoid the weekend crowds, glad I did...with the forecast tomorrow you'll probably be able to step from boat to boat, lol.

Yes I fished the outlet, but I fished a lot more than just the outlet that had warm(er) temps from 50-58 degrees. Outlet temps yesterday were 65. Worked a lot of areas over I see a lot of guys overlook, or fish way too quickly. People fish Wolf too fast, IMO. I spot lock on schools of fish that make me feel like I'm at Kentucky Lake ledge fishing. I think some people think I BS numbers...but I have no reason to. Those are the numbers you get by slowing down. Catch one on a moving bait, then sit and work it over because I can guarantee 90% of the time they aren't alone. That video is ~3.5 hours from the morning before my card space ran out, and fished until 2:30.

I made the run to the dam just to check water temps and because it was dead calm on the south side. 39-40 degree water.

Yes, I am a little worried about the crowd Saturday so hoping to fish the dam and some rock piles on the main lake.  39-40 is OK w me.  I appreciate the information!

I forgot to mention the south side is also CRYSTAL clear. I mean crystal. Talking probably 7-8' vis, and that was with cloudy conditions. It was awesome. Kinda looks comparable to vern right now.

Great to hear.  We will be throwing a jerkbait for a large part of the day I think.

Only good part about being back to work, I can finally edit my videos from my trips while I was off.
