Yep. 66,000 for a team that averages something like 12,000 fans per game. If 10% of those 54,000 extra stick around, he'll have done his job and made the league and teams some good money in the process (not to mention adding almost 50% extra attendance per game).

His endorsements and contract aside, he is really going to help MLS and soccer in America grow, regardless of the people determined to dislike it just because it's soccer. It'd be hard for anyone to say after watching the game between NYRB and Galaxy the other night that it wasn't exciting. Hell, most NFL games you dont see 9 touchdowns, but they got 9 goals at a soccer game. Good stuff (not the defenses  ).

Avid, yes, she is pretty fine. I played soccer all through high school. I loved that game, well, at least playing it. Its the biggest game in the world. I just don't think it will take off here. I think one of the main reasons is the NFL. It will never take over that. The NFL is so American and Soccer is so Euro and South American. But, nothing surpises me anymore. We are from the old world, kids think different now, so who knows. Who would have ever thought that a guy like me would follow tennis, tennis mind you. I love that game now. (But tether ball would have been just as exciting as long as I got to be with my baby girl).

My daughter starts college next Monday, but she is still playing soccer in a recreational league.

I really like soccer but, I played it all through school and have followed it since. I can see how it could be boring if you did not grow up with it but, there are more boring things. I have been seeing some of the most boring shows recently. One sport that comes to mind is Curling, ya know the one with the two people with the brooms sweepin ahead of the Curling Stone, now thats boring. I also turned the channel the other day and it showed a audience holding up all these signs and screaming, go, go, go. When it showed the stage, it was a freakin Scrabble Championship,IMGoodness. The fans were going beserk,lol. Oh well, I am a old wore out bugger whom likes to watch Tennis so................

Actually considering the hugeness of her celebrity and her ultra hot looks she is considered, shy and modest for that echelon of superstar.  She is very devoted to her children.  She's no prude of course, bu the clothes she has been wearing for the publicity shots, have basically been designed just for that -publicity.  She normally dresses like your average muti gazillionaire, drop dead gorgeous pop star.
