Hey Bass Assasin your a young un and dont remember this in 1969 the Mets had toface one of the greatest Amecian League Teams every assemmbled ( in 1970 they had 4 20 game winners on thier pitching staff) and NO ONE GAVE THE METS A CHANCE  and the Mets won Its called the World Series and who ever wins 4 games gets the rings They Yanks may have won 20 someting alreay but they gotta play this one too, if they survive their playoffs They are still the only team eliminated from the playoffs blowing a 3 game edge

This is just getting ridiculous with the closers role. If we hadnt blown the last 3 games we would already be in the playoffs. I think IZZY has cursed the closers role. I wonder how many saves we have since IZZY has left.

WOW, just looked it up. The Cards have 0 saves since IZZY has left and the last Cards save was sept. 5 almost 3 weeks ago.  The Cards' bullpen has blown 7 games since their last save on sept. 5. I think 4 of them are blown saves. That isnt gonna cut it in the playoffs. Hopefully, they are just getting the blown saves out of the way so they wont blow any in the playoffs.

If the Cards keep this up they are gonna need tickets to get to the NCLS :-/

You know Muddy,if the Phils get the wild card,the Cards will play the Mets in the NLDS.And Buckner isn't playing for the Cards.

Yea I know CJ. You know it wasnt Buckner that cost them serie It was McNamara goin with Schraldi, the Mets traded him to the Sox and they knew him inside out. Not to mention McNamaras limited use of the double switch and questionable defensive moves in late innings. Actually Buckner was a warrior playing hurt and not sitin down when his manager called on him

If they don't stop the bleeding soon, they will have the entire off-season to find one.

My buddy and I were figuring it up and at the rate the cards are going they will be knocked out of the playoffs.  They better get their act together or the whole season is going  .  Maybe a good swift kick will get them motivated .  We need solid wins the rest of the week.  Or we will be attending the playoffs and WS from the stands.

I was just thinkin about how the cards could be playin the Mets first round to. I would not be surprised if the Cards to make it to the WS If they make it to the playoffs. The national league just looks terrible. I think tonight is a must win becuase Carp is pitching. If the Cards lose tonight and the Astros win, then, I dont want to say it , but uh, I really dont like the look of this.

The Cardinals are going to kick butt and make the series.  Then they will sweep their Americn league opponent . . . . . . . . . . . Oh, sorry.  Daydreaming again.
