Who Cares?

Featured Replies

Dont hate it but cant really get into it. I have watched a few games but not a real big interest to me.

I love sports for the personalities, and I hate sports because of the personalities.

This year I don't care much. I just want the patriots to lose.

DITTO to that. I said I wasn't even going to watch the game and that I was going to go fishing. It turned out that I went fishing ALL day yesterday and it's a good thing since the weather here today is cold, raining, and very windy. I did a lot of work finishing up the remodeling of our master bedroom and then was so dang tired that I sat down to have a few well deserved brewskis and ended up watching the game and eating pizza. Since I am a Charger fan and can't stand the Mannings and don't like the arrogant Patriots and their coach (I also used to be a huge Dolphins fan in the early 70s and wanted to see their unbeaten record remain intact even though I think almost ANY of the elite AFC or NFC teams of today could/would "mop the floor" with the unbeaten '72 Dolphins) I didn't care who won. I wanted both teams to loose but the cheerleaders weren't playing:o(

I care.

It is a lot of fun.

You need to loosen up and have some fun, other than fishing.

I also like NASCAR and college football and women's basketeball and Indy racing.

Expand your interests.  Have fun.

I have never missed a Super Bowl or originally, Championship Game. For me, Super Bowl Sunday is the second biggest day of the year, just behind the 4th of July and ahead of Christmas! Yesterday ranks as one of the best Super Bowl games of all-time.

Congratulations to Fox Sports, too. Their coverage, personal

interviews, special events and "over-all package" was fabulous.

Great job fellas!

Super Bowl Sundays usually meant I had the lake all to myself but since I sold my boat I'll be watching this one.

OMG... Catt...You sold your boat??? Tell me your new one is on order...

I fished 07 with out my own boat but I have friends who will give me the keys to their boat without hesitation. My wife is retiring this year and her plans are to buy a new house; mine is a new boat.

I like the game.  I hate the extravaganza.  It's supposed to be about football.  I don't need the hours and hours of analysis about everything from who Tom Brady is dating to what underwear he is wearing, what parties are thrown, and what celebrities are in attendance.  I miss the old days.  The game was big enough and you didn't have all this other garbage.  And then everyone saw that the Super Bowl was a way to make money . . . . . .  the common man can hardly afford to attend now.

I watch the game.  I ignore the rest . . .

Sam, I have plenty that interests me outside of fishing. You don't have to sit on a couch and watch other guys play with their balls on TV to have fun ;D

ACTUALLY MR.WALNUTS HAPPENS TO BE STANDING BY THE COUCH

Muddy, you are freaking killing me.   ;D  I think this is the second time I've seen that nasty picture today.

Different strokes, for different folks.  I understand Sam's interests, but I kind of agree with fourbizz a little too.  I hate to sit in front of the TV all weekend watching sporting events when I could be outside doing something else, or playing guitar.  I try to keep a good balance.

ABSOLUTELY ; 3 SPORTS I WATCH

BASEBALL AND NCAA BASKETBALL; BECAUSE I CAN'T PLAY THEM, AND THERE IS A STRONG BASEBALL CONNECTION WITH MY FATHER

HORSERACING; BECAUSE I AM NOT A HORSE, ALTHOUGH BEFORE ONE OF YOU MOOKS SAYS IT, I AM NOT THE FRONT END OF A HORSE

ALTHOUGH BEFORE ONE OF YOU MOOKS SAYS IT, I AM NOT THE FRONT END OF A HORSE

Exactly your not the front end of the horse your the rear end of one...  ;D ;) ;D

I am a big football fan, however the networks have made watching the superbowl almost unwatchable for me. The extra time for halftime the endless stream of commercials. I dont need the extra crap just show me the game.

I AM WELL AWARE OF THAT, I SEE EVERYTHING BACKWARDS

Man, I like the whole experience. I started getting stoked on Wednesday, but didn't really hit stride until Friday afternoon. I could hardly sleep Saturday night, got up around 4:30 Sunday morning, anticipating 9:00 pre-game. Started cookin' around 10:00 and found my groove about 3:00. By 5:00 CST I was "Ready For Some Football!"

I guess I care...I REALLY care. ;D ;D ;D

I thought at first that the Superbowl was going to a be a blow out but it ended up being a great game.  I just love it that the Pats lost and both Mannings were present.  With all the BS aside, it was a great game.  One of the best I have seen in years.

I'm not a huge sports fan (exept for golf), but when any major sport nears the playoffs, I'll passively follow it and watch the championship.

I love watching golf because I play the sport, and watching the best players in the world play the game I love to such a high level is just very entertaining.  Although I don't play the sports, I do enjoy watching baseball, basketball, and football just because what these guys can accomplish physically is sometimes unbelievable.  I'm not one who watches Sports Center and regurgitates all of the stats though - when people do that it annoys me.

The invention of the DVR is just such an amazing thing, I can't even explain it.  Now I can just record anything I want to watch and watch it whenever.
