My wife, Keri, has decided to fish one WBT tournament this year to see if this is something she wants to persue. The tournament is on Clarks Hill lake in Georgia on Sept. 14th - 20th (including pre-fishing time). She wants to fish it as a boater to maximize her chances of doing well. She'll be representing BassResource.com.

Here's the deal: We live on the left side of the U.S., making it infeasible to drive our boat there. I am asking if anyone would be willing to loan us their boat for this tournament. I realize this is a huge ask, so I'm not taking this lightly at all.

We own an '03 Ranger Commanche 520dvx w/225 Yamaha HDPI - and she can drive it just fine. Hoping to find something similar. We're required to have $300,000 insurance per WBT rules, so your boat is covered in the unlikelyhood something happens.

Fluke & I  have spoke about it.  We might be able to work something out, but there's several things that need to happen between now and then.

You're asking for trouble in my opinion. Generosity is one thing, but totaling out someone's$30,000 to $50,000 rig through some freak accident is inviting major problems on your behalf. I'd be SURE and find out who's insurance covers what before I did it.

An "internet friend" will turn into your worst enemy if something happens. Good luck.

If you do not get anything closer you and your wife are welcome to my boat. I have a Stratos 285 which is 18.5 feet long with a Johnson 150. Loaded light I have had her running close to 70mph. You can reasonably expect somewhere in the upper 50s loaded for a big day. She is in perfect condition and always in the water or the shed. She has an Eagle 502c (color) at the Console which has the navionics gold lake/topo chip in it so it has sonar plus the GPS/lake map. She also has an Eagle 480 at the bow. New batteries and a powerful trolling motor. Single console. She is metalflake green (my wife named her Sparkles), new tires and bearings on the trailer-- READY TO GO!!
