Project cars.

Recommended Posts

It seems like a lot of people are working on boats latley. So I would like to hear about your car projects. I don't care if its still a bare frame, or a car that your driving. So lets see some pictures and a story about the car. If you can list all thats been done, and what you want to do.

So I will start all of this. I have a 04 eletric blue pearl coat neon srt-4. Right now its in phase one of four. Phase one is the looks. I fixed some dents and scratchs. I had to uses 12 coats of ppg paint for the drivers door alone. Then I had to blend the base coat into both fenders. Then after the base I out on ppg clear on the whole drivers side. While I was wokring on it I took off all the emblams on the truck. right now iam wating for some aar strobe graphics for the side. After that Iam going to two tone it. The hood, roof, spoiler, and trunk will be black. Iam aslo trying to find mate black rims for it yet. But after this is done time for phase two. That will be coilovers and bigger sway bars. phase 4 is the seats. I have to get rid of the leather seats. They sucks in the winter and summer. After that pahse four. a t3/t4 50 trim turbo. good for about 450 hp. 3in stainless exhaust and 3in down pipe. ram air or cold air intake. A bigger intercooler. A forged set of rods and pistons. and many other things I cant think of right now.

My dad has a pro-tuned 2006 subaru wrx sti with 330whp 340wtq

pretty much every suspension mod you can think of a turboback 3" rsr exhaust. Cold-air intake (doesn't do anything) and a gm boost control solenoid. For transmission just upgraded mounts and bushings. Bunch of other stuff cant remember. If you going to throw pistons and rods might as well do every thing dont go ram air and what 50trim FP makes a kick @ss turbo hta green http://store.forcedperformance.net/merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=FP&Product_Code=NTSRT4Green&Category_Code=SRT-Turbo . I do not know how to post pictures, but I have a 1947 Chevrolet Fleetmaster 2 door sport coupe in the works. My uncle has an older ford chassis (32?) That I want to get my hands on. Also by the way I have a

1975 Chevrolet Custom Deluxe pick 'em up truck to get running.

I run a 1963 Nova with a bored and stroked small block, back by a powerglide and 12 bolt. It's been siting for a while, but she'll still do 10.60's on the motor. Spray it and that ET is a secret!

I have a Dodge Ram 1500 SLT with a small 4.7 v8. I have a list of things i plan on doing to it and so far i have only knocked out a few. I plan on getting a 6'' lift, 32'' BFG all terrain  tires, a nice stereo system (subs, amp and radio), nerf bars, spray in bed liner and possibly a paint job. There is no scratches other than in the bed but i just want a new shiny finish. So far i have got Flowmaster exhaust and tinted the windows. Im going today to look at some subs and amps and should be ready to have them installed within the next 2 weeks  :).

Well since we are talking about cars we do not have now, How about a '70 Chevelle LS-6 4 speed. headers and slicks will get you in about the 10-11? range. Oh yeah, what about a ZL1 camaro, shear insanity. Better yet a hemi dart, well, pretty much anything with a hemi. An old Gasser, blown injected early style hemi with the front end jacked in the air. The best one yet , what about an old skool fuel rail. WILD ride, possible death almost certain personal harm, flames shooting out of the exhaust in your face pretty much, GOOD times man.

This was back in 2003.  There was no 997TT.  Besides if I'm going to build a porsche right, I'd send it to my pal Alex at Sharkwerks.  They know how to build a car.

Back in 03 there was the 996 and promotive ;) Sharkwerks? meh I'd just get a gt2 and do slight mods (Full exhaust, headers, intake, injectors, ecu, and tune) if I had the money. There always is the 996/997 tt Fully built twin gt30r's on 25psi option

Yup.  Cars do nothing for me now.  I get more excited over modding a reel now.  :)

I love fishing, but if there is a big block or small block or pretty much anything I can get a wrench on I am not going fishing anymore.

(by the way if you know cars, I used to work at the TIMKEN  prototype lab.)

I got rid of it a long time ago but I had a 1991 Mits. Eclipse that I buddy of mine sold to me when he found out his wife was pregnant with twins in 1993.  He was desperate for cash and I needed a car.  I only had 10,000 to play with and he jumped all over it.  The 10,000 I gave him didn't cover the price he paid for the V8 3000GT engine that had been chopped into it.  It also had a weight reduction, computer mod, NOS, racing tires and rims, new leather seats, Alpine stereo, trans. upgrade>the list goes on.  Most of it had been done at Indy Imports of Indianapolis and Exotic Racing in Paducah, KY.  This car at the time I got it would dust just about any production car, including my neighbors Cab. Corvette.  Unfortunately, I could not afford to keep in top condition.  Heck, a tuneup on this thing was going to cost me $2000.  They had to take the whole thing apart to do it.  I ended up selling it for what I paid for it but I sure do miss it.

Also, the $10,000 I gave my buddy went towards a nice MiniVan. :)

Nope. What are some good ones? I better start learning about them, so I am worthy of owning one some day!
