Most productive Senko or Salty Trick Worm colors

Featured Replies

I've been doing pretty well of late fishing the 5" Senko and AB's Trick worm.  I generally rig weedless but find wacky rigging to be a lot of fun as well.  The problem my son and I have with the wacky rig is that most of the time we loose the worm when you hook one.

The question is what colors do most of you find productive for daylight fishing in somewhat murky water?

If the water is pretty muddy than I go to Black/blue flake.

Pick one that you like, they all work!

I prefer "dark".

Ive only fished Senkos a few times, but i was on a stained lake when it was overcast and raining on and off using color 302 which is a red with red/black flakes and they were hitting it like crazy.

Green

Black

Red Shad

Get yourself a Wacky Tool Rig and O-Rings. You'll save on the worms.

pumpkinseed

junebug

caught my new PB the first time I ever used these lures (2 weeks ago), I was using junebug.

shimmer shad

smoke red pepper

junebug

any variation of watermelon

but it mostly depends on water clarity

One thing that makes the worms last even longer than the o-rings (for me anyways) is to put a small piece of electrical tape around the worm wherever you rig it wacky style. Just dont let them get to hot because the tape will start to fall off and it will get real sticky.
