All I'm sayin is that If you can't make it twitch on top, it ain't gonna twitch on the bottom.

Lots of advice from guys with similar experience. I'm sure your doctor

clearly understands the fishing issues, so don't be hard headed, follow

his advice!

I called up Roland Martin and he suggested you try this.

Very little stress on your shoulder.   ;D

Does throwing side arm work better for you? I actually throw overhanded and side arm, Doc seems to think side arm would be better

sidearm is definitely better on the shoulder.

just remember, start with shorter rods (no pun intended here) and lighter weights...if you overdo it at first, then you will be back on here posting about tendonitis.

been there, done that.

Muddy my buddy, sorry to read of your misfortune.

Some food for thought, try a medium spinning outfit.  Take your shoulder out of the equation by using a wrist flick.  I think you will put very little strain on the shoulder with that method

                                 and

                       DON'T OVER DO IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had a step break on a machine 3 weeks ago and I fell and landed on my right shoulder and elbow.  No major damage but I can't cast with it yet so for my last 3 trips I have been left handed.  Not pretty at first but with practice I am improving.  You should try it Dom.

I feel your pain bud, 2 bad shoulders here too.

There's always wake baits :);)
