Jig Trailers?

Featured Replies

I have been wondering weather I should use lil critter craws on my jigs as trailers or sweet beavers? What is everyones preference? If sweet beavers should I use the smallie size or regular size?

Gene Larew Salty Hawg Craws in 6, 5, & 4 in the following colors.

Junebug/Blue Claw

Black/Blue

Black Neon

75% of the time I use a grub as a trailer, the other 25% I use a yamamoto craw as a trailer, just my 2cents

I have tried the sweet beaver, and the Brush hog, as trailers, but still like a good old Zoom Big salty chunk.

GYCB Fat Baby Craw

I use a TON of different trailers. I will use beaver style baits, spider grubs, single tail grubs, brush hogs, pork chunks, paca craws, YUM! Crawbugs, ZOOM! swimmin' chunks and super salty chunks, the tail end of used up worms, Joe's Jig Trailers...heck, anything that looks good on the business end of that jig. I think my biggest downfall in trailer selection is that I don't really mix and match enough color wise. I generally like to match my jig and trailer colors.

baby brush hogs, grub worms, twin tail grub worms, Lake Fork craw

Both, and then some.

Ronnie

My first jig trailer of preference is a Uncle Josh #11 Black pork trailer. After that I would go with a GYCB Twin Trailer. I also use Zooms Super Chunk and the sweet Beaver and Smallie Beaver.

Joe Jig Trailer or GYCB 4" twin tail trailer.

Joe Jig trailer,  my own pour or a craw type like a critter craw
