by and large Ilove this site, and everthing about it. my poll pertains to curiosity, how much weight do put in a response based on the # of stars attached to a username?

I posted other. Someone that has been around long enough for that rating, everyone pretty much knows if they are just full of hot air or not...

having many stars means we spend too much time on the computer and not enough time on the lake.

The number of stars mean absolutely nothing and as Bassn says way too much computer time, myself included.

I have noticed that the opinions of some with more stars are accepted with more respect than others. An eloquently written post has no bearing on whether that person is really a good fisherman or not, often times some of the technical mumbo jumbo is copied from other sites. Those that preach the benefits of high end equipment garner more respect as great fisherman as well.......bunk!

I take people on an individual basis.  Just because they've been around a long time doesn't mean they are great fishermen, and if they're new it doesn't mean they're bad.

My horoscope told me that I would be posting today  ;D.

I vote not at all because I never pay attention to it ;)

Some of us have been around here for years so we kinda know each other!

As Catt said, after awhile you'll get to know some of the guys

a little better which will help sifting through all the conflicting

opinions. For the most part, advice is well intended and we do

have many VERY seasoned anglers. A few pros, several

guides, tournament and big bass fishermen all contribute to the

mix. From beginners to accomplished fishermen, there is always

something here for everyone.

Thank you, I feel important now that you asked. For me it allowed enough time to learn from other anglers. :P

None. heck. I have almost got 1,000 posts and I still don't know what I am talking about...lol

Bassn' - you sound like Confucius:

"He who has many stars not spend ample time on lake."

Stars mean nothing in terms of fishing knowledge or skill.  Case in point is Tom_Redington, a guide on Lake Fork who is a member here.  He doesn't post often but he can slay the bass.  We have other guys who have been here for years who don't post a lot but are very good anglers.  Randall and George Welcome come to mind.  These guys may have the maximum number of stars now but that is only because of their longevity, not because they post a lot.  I have five stars and I would only consider myself an average angler.  Lack of time to be on the water makes a big difference in skill levels.  Quite a few guys that are on the water a lot probably aren't posting that often.

A little.

I am a "senior member"

I've been bass fishing for 5 months. That explain anything to you? most my post are questions, or "everything else" For the most part though the "been posting a long time" fellas usually know Double- U tea ef they are talking about.
