Mike I hear you, I lost about one month ago My Honey, she was a Cocker that was an adult when we adopted her 2 years ago. They said she severe arthritis. When I met her it was love at first site. She was near 20 lbs overweight. Long story made short we walked she lost weight, no more meds and lived her last years proud and as lovable as the day she was born. Thanks for sharing it helped me to remember, never forget that is the greatest honor we can bestow.

Sorry to hear that Mike. My condolences.

Sorry about your loss bud.  I dread the day.  :'(

Mike, I know how you feel. I had to put down my golden lab/beagle mix last summer. Lucy, at 12 yrs, was diagnosed with cancer and I did everything I could for her until she went blind and lost her strength. It still makes me feel sad. It is a tough deal. Try to remember all the good times. When I do, it makes me feel better.

Gentlemen, my heartfelt thanks for your kind words and condolences.  Gumbo (that was his name) lived a long happy life and died in his sleep.  Who else could ask for more?  I miss him greatly and will cherish the memories.  Such is life.

Condolences Mike.  I would have figured you for a cat man.

Condolences Mike. I would have figured you for a cat man.

Thanks BL, but you would have figured wrong. I can't stand the critters.

Sincere sympathy to you for your loss.

Been there, done that, and it's one of life's toughest experiences.  Oddly enough, the things you miss most seem to be the annoying things they did.

Sorry for your loss.

Just like you, I can't stand cats. LOVE dogs and can't imagine losing one. We just got one and she is only 2 years old, but I don't even want to think of the day she passes on.  :'(

Sending my condolences Mike.

My heartfelt condolences, we put our lab of 13 years down last May.  It may have been said already, but get your grieving in, and then get yourself another.  I moped around for months like part of my life was missing and then a new one fell into our lap.
