How much do you spend on fishing stuff?

Featured Replies

Although I have a ton of crap---erh, I mean Fishing Gear I have amassed it over time.  So like others have said, I might go and spend $250 this weekend on a new rod/reel but that is the exception.  I'm to the point now that I might go out and buy a couple bags of a new color or style of worm. But, for the most part I really don't spend that much per month on tackle.  Now, gas for the boat and tow beast, launch fees, etc..that is a different story!  ::)

I have no idea how my wife tricked you into making this post but its not working.  I haven't bought any new stuff this year. :)

Is banana breath trying to do his budget for next year?

I spend 150-200+ each month. (Jan-April is 250+ easily due to tournaments)

well..being a 14 year old and not having bills enables me to spend every penny i can find on stuff id say 150- 200 ish :)

$101-150   It used to be a lot more...maybe even 4-$500 a month, but I just replenish and buy 'new' baits that hit the market these days.  I've got enough crap...

If I average it out I would say $75 a month.  I have been buying one setup a year, maybe one $40-$50 trip to my local tackle shop once a month and maybe a Megabass lure every couple of months on ebay.

At least $200 per month, but I can quit any time I want to!

Yup, that 's what I said 'bout smoking, been "quiting" for the last 27 years, been quiting fishing tackle for the last 35 years. Don 't know what 's worse, trying to quit or getting touchy with what I smoke and which tackle I purchase.   :-/

$25+, I have learned to not try to purchase everything shown on t.v. If you want to include gas in that, well, it's up there.

It's also funny that everything is relative also. At today's prices, I can choose to fill up the bassbus ($240 worth of regular) or buy a GLX rod blank and build myself a new rod. :)

Yep, it's not the gear, it's gettin' there!

I keep a running inventory of all my tackle. I restock as needed as well as purchasing newer market items as they are released. 50.00-75.00 a month.

Im only 15 so i can spend whatever i have, but usually its only like $40 a month (plus another $30 or so of my dads money :) )

Alot.................

Big O

in reality i spend between a fifteen to eleventyhundred dollars a month. and trust me eleventyhundred is a large part of my paycheck  ;D

It depends on the month but Jan-March when I cannot fish much waiting on spring it is bad! :-[ I have cut back on buying lures and increased spending on tacklemaking supplies. Now I do plan on starting a small tackle business so I can justify these purchases as expenses not for personal use. Without getting into dollar amounts (I just do not want to know) at last count I had over 100 Lucky Craft baits still in the package not counting the ones I carry.

Every when ?

200+ a month.

Exactly....  Every when?  It's more like how many thousands a year?

*more than I should*         i dont catch fish, i just like tossing plastic baits into the water and reeling them in...... lol ;D
