BTW, how are those Buicks work backing the boat down the ramp?

The car of choice for mowing down people on a busy sidewalk or driving through the front of a convenience store..

Buicks are for the rich. I prefer a 1972 Ford LTD myself. In that not quite lime green color.

i'd use the forum but i sure as hell wouldn't pay for it.

I'd like to use it.  Having to write "G rated" all the time is turning me into a softy.

At first I thought an Adult only forum with no control was a good idea, but after thinking about it I'm not so sure anymore.  I would favor certain topics still off limits, but not sure where to draw the line.  Certain political debates are healthy as people from both sides of the aisle agree on many issues like the Ground Zero debate, but so many other political  issues are just a conversation right against left and this forum does not have even representation, other forums do.

Also what is considered an adult and how will the minors be excluded ? Member profiles are not checked for age accuracy, will members have to submit a copy of their birth certificate?  I'm up for any conversation on your favorite brew or adult beverages, even the brand of condom one prefers, but is that appropriate for minors to view ?  If anything goes can we post x rated pictures or videos..........I say stick to fishing.

I suppose the whole age deal would have to be on the "honor system basis."

And as to whats being posted, isn't that why we have a subject line? If you don't want to see X-rated things or conversations, you dont have to look at it IMO. But I agree there has to be a line though, which would just mainly be people common courtesy. I highly doubt any body would post, "Hey, Look at this awesome porno!". But, then again I could be wrong.

Edit: But I thought this thread would be more about and "Un-modded" thread were we could say things that we wishes and could drop the F bomb etc. I didn't think it would be more of an "My favorite condom is this" type of category.

just go to 4chan.

just go to 4chan.

4chan is literally the anus of the internet.  ;D

Sounds crazy, after reading all the replies. No one can even agree on what it should or shouldn't be used for and what you can or can't show on it. I bet there would be some pretty rough criticism on there that would bleed over into the fishing forums. Would you want to really rip someone on the "open" forum and then expect a reasonable reply to your thread on one of the fishing forums?

There are plenty of other places to complain about everything and everyone else and swear when you want to.

Sorry " the peanut gallery" not allowed.

I like the idea of this new forum. It may get out of hand, but if someone doesn't like it they can just not use it.

you don't like how a thread goes down, you can't turn to us to "fix it". If you don't like somebody or what they said, you can't turn to us to "fix it". If somebody attacks you in there, you can't turn to us to "fix it".

How many pm's per day do you already have to address and how many more will there be?  Even if you're not going to be the referee you're still going to have to go through the extra pm's and sort them out.  No matter how you set it up, someone who thinks their complaint is a paramount one will find a way to contact the mods with it.

On the other hand, with a separate section you could also move the heated threads that are worthy of running there course in there without them affecting the rest of the BR forums.  You are still moving or locking the threads you need to while relocating the less cordial ones into a section where the rest of the users and guests don't need to deal with them.   :-/

I don't like to get involved in some of those locked threads, but they sure are fun to read! I don't think i would pay for one little section though.

Actually i would like to debate some touchy stuff.

I agree that spirited debate of controversial subjects is a good thing. Talking about politics, religion, civil liberty, morality, war, peace, and the other issues that unite and divide us is important. It just doesn't work in this format. Before politics and religion were off-limits topics here, we had some very interesting discussions, but they always ended badly. Without accountability or filters, we don't play well together.
