Favorite late summer colors is plum,

Favorite winter worm is red shad in Culprit.

Spawn, colors don't seem to matter., Post spawn and early summer, watermelon greens.

Something dark for dingy or deep water and natural colors for shallow or clear water.

If pressed to name a favorite, it would be a toss-up between black/blue and red shad.

In my game plan, depth and presentation are much more important than color. Color is the last thing I tweak.

That's about what I was going to add.  I think Greenpupkin with your choice of flake color is the hands down winner because almost 90% of everyone has mentioned it so far.

It depends on location, time of year, and water color to me but I agree with these selections.  If I had one to choose, it would definately be greenpumpkin or something similar to it like pumpkin seed.  They are about the same thing.

I can't buy a fish on anything resembling red or purple (red shad, tequila sunrise, etc.).

FOR ME, IT'S RED SHAD FOLLOWED CLOSELY BY ELECTRIC BLUE.

all my soft plastics are black with chart tail, pumpkin with chart tail or watermelon and chart tail. i catch good stuff on all of them.

For ponds, I like to throw creme worms with that natural red and tan color .
